Social media use is widespread in companies today; however, less than 33% of companies have a social media policy. How is your company preparing for these new challenges from a legal and policy standpoint? Are you protecting your business, your employees and your customers? As social media grows legal and HR professionals are increasingly called upon to arbitrate social media issues on privacy and policy.

Paul Bittner

Paul Bittner is SZD’s Labor and Employment Practice Group Leader. He has been practicing law since 1993 with an emphasis on labor and employment law and has extensive experience representing employers. Paul has represented both public and private sector employers in union negotiations, labor arbitrations, unfair labor practice proceedings, representation elections, and other related matters in front of the National Labor Relations Board and state agencies. Paul brings very relevant experience in today’s labor issues concerning online practices.

On behalf of Technology for Ohio’s Tomorrow (TOT), we would like to congratulate Ohio’s newly elected officials on their 2010 victory.

We hope that Ohio legislators will bring a new prospective on how to approach technology issues that are important to all Ohioans. With advancements in technology and leadership from Ohio’s legislators, Ohio’s economy and businesses will enjoy significant 21st Century improvements in looking towards tomorrow. We believe updated regulatory issues, access to technology and advancements in technology will continue to have an increasing influence on Ohio investment, research and job development that will better prepare all of us for Ohio’s Tomorrow.

TOT’s believes in advocating for public policies that inspire and encourage innovation in technology while informing and educating technology consumers about legislation and regulatory issues that impact their lives. We believe legislators can play a huge roll in giving businesses, educational institutions, health care and Ohio citizens the tools they need to thrive to generate revenue and jobs to the Buckeye state.
